The more I am in Shawland's the more I fall in love with it. I feel guilty because i feel like I am sort of cheating on the West End. I L O V E where i live and our flat, it's a proper little home for two but I am deffos starting to lust over moving back to the south side of Glasgow where I grew up. There are so many cute little restaurants and bars that i am dying to try out however my fave place by far is Black Dove.

The food is just unreal! Personally I think the menu is weird and wonderful but it all tastes amazing, it leave you craving for days and days. True foodie genius' in there. I was invited along to try their new 5 course tasting menu.
Mini Savoury Doughnut with Ox Cheek, Parmesan, Paprika Sugar and Chorizo Jam with a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
Heritage Tomato Tartare with Tomato Sorbet and Herb Oil.
Tandoori Marinated Salmon with Onion Bhaji and Mint and Coriander Chutney.
Pan Seared Duck Breast with Cep Gnocchi, Wild Mushrooms and Savoy Cabbage
Lemon Meringue Tart with Clotted Cream Ice Cream
Every course was truly sublime but my faves were the Tandoori Marinated Salmon and Lemon Meringue Tart. Both absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. Ross's favourite was the Mini Savoury Doughnut and the Pan Seared Duck Breast. It was a Sunday night we went down it was relatively busy, I would highly recommend booking a reservation. Perfect place for date night its so cute, small and cosy but also ideal for a lunchtime catch with the girls (Or boys). I have been to Black Dove quite a few times now, twice in the last couple of months. I absolutely love it! For those who follow Black Dove on Instagram, I hope you enjoyed my little updates of my date night. Massive thank you to the team at Black Dove for having me and the other half. Can't wait for another visit.
Peace out. Rx
