Day 1 - Travel
Everyone knows that when you are going on holiday, you have to subtract the 2 travel days. Our flight was 6am from Newcastle International Airport so it was a very early rise. I wish I got an outfit picture however it was 4am and trust me.. you didn't want to see how i looked - so naturally I took some selfies.
I don't believe in wearing make up whilst travelling, it clogs up the skin and just makes me break out and i really don't wanna spend any holiday i go on with spotty skin so i just pop on some NIVEA Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream 200ml and let that seep into my skin. The moisturising feeling legit lasts the whole flight - I also use this every morning and every night. My absolute go to moisturiser and so cheap too. The flight lasted just under 3 hours - very comfortable flight!
We arrived in Naples International around 11:30am, roughly an hour and half coach transfer to our hotel Grand Parco Del Sole , the traffic was really bad and there is only one road in and out of Sorrento. We got to the hotel around 1 o'clock greeted with some prosecco- like cocktail, check in was at 2pm so grabbed some lunch and a drink and waiting roughly 30-40 minutes for our room to be available. Once we got into the room, it was taps aff - landed in 30 degrees heat and intense humidity, we couldn't wait to jump in the pool.
Now i ain't no Victoria Secret model but this is the skinniest i have ever been (lol). Salads everyday - I went to the gym which is not my natural habitat. I am proud of myself to say the least. The most amazing thing about our holiday was the fact we were all inclusive - breakfast, lunch, dinner and all our drinks which is quite dangerous for a geordie and scottish lass. We loved it. Our first night we intended to just chill out in the holiday go for dinner, couple of drinks then bed.
Day 2 - Sorrento
We woke up nice and early - feeling refreshed (Sort of). We decided to go into the town of Sorrento which was about 15 walk from our hotel but we were really really really lazy and got the free shuttle bus down to the main Piazza Di Sorrento. We ended up walking down to the port of Sorrento and grabbing a bit of breakfast - I got a ham and cheese omelette and Ross got a ham and cheese toastie - with beer and sangaria on the side of course. 40 euros it cost - we almost died when we seen the bill! It is very expensive place so it really was a god send to be all inclusive.

Day 3 - PompeiThere was absolutely no way we could go to Sorrento and not go to Pompei, it was only a 30 minute train ride, 9 euro return and the train station was a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The entrance to Pompei is basically right next to the train station. We paid 12 euros for a walking tour and 13 euros entry fee. Pompei was so so fascinating to me, this was a city that was pretty much still standing almost 2000 years later. It is still built up, you can still see how they lived, there's beds, thousands of pottery and of course the preserved bodies. You can still see the paintings on the walls, the baths and gyms they used. The grand houses that once belonged to the rich. The cart marks in the roads. And of course they had a red light district. Just mental.

Drink: Aperol Spritz
Day 4- Pool DayAfter a couple days of adventuring it was time to chillax by the pool, specifically float on a large pizza slice. Ye canny beat a pool day on holiday, slap on the factor 50 and sunbathe with a good thriller book.
Day 5- Another Pool Day
So we did intend to do a boat cruise but we slept in and I want really really really REALLY hungover so i basically spent my day in bed dying.
But alas i made it out.
Day 6 - Capri and Positano - Mini Boat Cruise
We had been planning a day to Capri and Positano for a couple days but always woke up too late and missed the boat. We set about 100 alarms and FINALLY made it. Without a doubt the Amalfi Coast is simply stunning so so so picturesque. The boat docked at Capri and everyone had the change to jump off and swim amongst the caves of Capri but to be careful of Sharks :| I was too scared - me no likey swimming in the sea- so i decided to just stay on the boat overheat and take pictures of water baby Ross. All in all the boat took about 3 hours from Sorrento to Positano. We had around 2 and half hours to walk round and explore Positano, done a wee bit of shopping and grabbed some lunch. It was really superbly hot and humid so we rented a couple sun loungers on the beach and just chilled in the shade. Went for a dip in the sea and by that i mean i sat on the shore line, Ross went swimming which resulted in him getting stung by a nettle jellyfish. The boat trip cost 35 euros each which was a great deal compared to what getting charged for one way trips with other companies.
Day 7 -Last Day
On our last day, we just had a pool day. Soaked up some sunshine before catching our Friday morning flight back to Newcastle. We had fabulous weather the whole time we were away, it was really really hot though, sometimes too hot so the shade and pina colada became my best pals. We really did have the most amazing holiday, our hotel was like a hotel away from home, the staff were really lovely, the food was outstanding and the drinks were strong. Just want to say a massive thank you to Thomson Holidays for taking stuff good care us.
